Our next litter may be mid to late 2025, and we hope to have two litters this year. I will not be responding to companion pet inquiries regularly until I have a litter planned or, more likely, actually on the ground. I do not keep a wait list, because I do not breed frequently enough to keep people waiting for months or years, and then maybe not have a puppy for them when I do have a litter. It also takes a great deal of time to vet potential buyers, and I prefer to do that when I am fairly certain I will have a puppy for them. I do keep questionnaires on file, so please let me know you have submitted an inquiry and are still interested in an Eta D'Oro Golden when you see I have a litter. I generally start getting serious about matching puppies to homes when the pups are a few weeks old and developing personalities.

Golden Retrievers tend to be very active dogs, especially when young. They all require frequent opportunity to exercise in order to be happy and healthy. Proper bone, joint and muscle development results from regular age-appropriate exercise. However, proper care should be taken, especially during the first two years of the pup’s life, to decrease the risk of joint injury.

While all goldens require the opportunity to let off steam and get exercise for the sake of their health and their (and your) mental wellbeing, some dogs are more relaxed than others.
