Gordie
GCH EtaDOro's Gordie Howe Hat Trick RA
Sport ex Libby
Owned by Karin Shinego, Natalie Shinego and Emily Christian
Continues to collect well. Great natural breeder. Clear on all genetic testing, including NCL and ICH-2. Please contact me for information regarding litters sired by Gordie.
Gordie is a good size boy, about 23 1/2" and 78 pounds. He is well balanced with nice front and rear angulation, has an outstanding front assembly and great spring of rib, is clean coming and going, and has a lot of neck and good leg under him. Gordie's side gait is effortless and fluid. His pigment is jet black at 9 years old, and he started getting sugar on his face around 4 1/2. Gordie is an old style golden retriever, with correct coat of a medium gold with light furnishings. Nothing about Gordie is overdone; this is a dog that could be working outside all day, and not need more than a bath to get ring ready. Many of Gordie's CH and GCH points have been breeder/owner handled and under GRCA breeder judges, judges who breed goldens, and at specialties and supported entries. He finished his CH with three majors. He took a large entry BOB in June 2024 for a 5 point major over highly ranked specials. He really looks better than he did as a younger dog. Gordie got his RN and RA with no NQs, and with very little training. He has an on/off switch, and has a good bit of goofball in him - he is just a very happy dog who loves it when he is given a job to do. Gordie is a proven stud, who breeds naturally and still collects well. He has had several large litters. More recent litters are really lovely and consistent overall, with hard level toplines, fantastic fronts with great shoulder assemblies and prosternum, and beautiful heads. His pups are starting to earn titles, and we look forward to watching them all mature!
Gordie finished 2019 as the #7 NOHS golden after spending some months at #5, in limited showing throughout the year. Showing in Veterans classes now, he placed second at the 2023 GRCA National in his Veterans and Veterans Sweeps classes. He has taken a Best of Opposite sex and Selects out of veterans classes, and of course that BOB in June 2024. The boy is maturing very gracefully!
Oban
Oban
CH EtaDOro's Red E For A Dram CD RE
Ready x Cuddy
Owned by Karin and Natalie Shinego
Oban breeds naturally and collects and ships very well, generally in excess of 1.2 billion per collection, with great morphology and motility. He is clear on everything, including ICH2 and NCL. His eye clearance is up to date. Oban has sired some large litters. He has his first qualifying progeny for OS, a conformation CH, and a few other pups in the breed ring and training in other disciplines.
Oban is a moderate boy, about 23 inches and 70 pounds. He has a lovely front assembly, with great length and return of upper arm, and nice shoulder lay in and lay back, all of which he tends to throw. Oban is well balanced and very light on his feet, a beautiful mover. He has a substantial thigh and second thigh, and is short coupled. His coat is a straight, dark medium gold with lighter furnishings. Full coat is easy to maintain and manage.
Oban is very smart, and exceptionally easy to train. He loves obedience and especially rally, and learns very quickly. After earning his RN one morning as a puppy, he did a quick little training session in the grooming area at the conformation show, and went into the ring to earn his first RI leg that afternoon with a high 90’s score. He always scores very high, and qualified for the Rally Nationals in RI and RE with a number of perfect scores. Oban gets along with the other intact male in the house, as well as with other boys who visit on show weekends. There just is never any issue between the boys, or any of the dogs. Oban is currently Natalie’s juniors dog, and it is most often she who shows him in the breed ring. They are a lovely team.
Bucky
GCH EtaDOro Graceken's Winter Soldier JH
Larry x Cuddy
Owned by Cheryl and Mark Kenny, and Karin and Natalie Shinego
Bucky got his first AKC CH points at 11 months breeder owner handled, and finished with back to back majors, followed the next day by a breeder owner handled 4 point major Select to start his path to GCH in style. He finished his GCH in style, as well, with a major Best of Breed. All his GCH points breeder owner handled, all over specials, and was picking up birds for with his primary owner two weeks later. He is a substantial boy, about 23 3/4”, with fantastic bone and a very nice front, including a lot of prosternum and nice length of upper arm. Buck has a gorgeous, correctly textured, wavy dark gold coat and lots of undercoat. He is short coupled, balanced, and a nice mover. He has a lot of leg and a rock solid top line, and good depth of chest and spring of rib. He also has a gorgeous head with a super stop and neat ears. Buck had great pigment from the moment he was born, and it’s jet black at three years old. Bucky has a great personality, and is energetic and happy in training. He’s all in no matter what you ask him to do, whether breed ring, field training, or just retrieving bumpers in the yard. He is an active gun dog, and earned his JH in May 2022. He won BOB and Sporting Group 1 in 4-6 month puppy competition 2 days after his 4 month birthday, and again at just over 5 months. He's done very well in the NOHS with several group placements, and was ranked the entire time he was being specialed. This boy is a fun one!

OBI-WAN
EtaDOro's Jedi Master At Rainheart DJ
Owned by Jess Moutone, DVM, Kala Moutone, Karin Shinego and Natalie Shinego
Obi is still young, but he was a lovely puppy who attracted the attention of every litter evaluator as the pick of the litter, who is now growing into a lovely dog. He's lucky to have people who will do a variety of fun things with him while he matures. Obi is a beautiful mover who floats around the ring. He has fantastic breed type, with correct wavy coat, a gorgeous head with wonderful proportions, proper underjaw, a correct stop, and a beautiful, kindly expression. He has a bubbly personality, and is always just the happiest dog in the house and a joy to be around. He gets along with all the pack here, intact males and females alike, as well as his golden and cavalier pack at home. We look forward to watching Obi-Wan mature.
